Isn’t this a great rat?  Haira and Cindy from Country Meadows Elementary worked very hard to create this amazing sculpture of Ratty.  I was so surprised when I opened the package!  They loved the book, and I love their sculpture.  They wrote a very nice letter, too.  Here he is, sitting on my windowsill right by my writing table, where I can look at him and get inspired to write more books about Emmy and Ratty.  Thanks so much, girls– I love my new rat!
